Khandani Rajdhani-Ek Khandani Parampara..:)

Khandani Rajdhani-Ek Khandani Parampara is a very famous and well-known series of Restaurants. I get a chance to go there during meeting with Amiqu in Chandigarh. We went there for having lunch. I had never gone there so it was a new experience for me. It is a Vegetarian Thali Restaurant and as the name suggests it has a Paramparik way to attend all the guests.

Welcome:

Well, they welcome everybody by spotted a Tilak on their forehead. I find it very impressive and good way to welcome anybody, as it’s a traditional and nice way. I felt very good when they welcomed us in this way.

Food and Presentation:

As I mentioned before, it’s a Restaurant with Thali system. There you will not find any Menu Card to order something. You just have to go there and catch a seat. A shiny big plate is already put on the table with 8 bowls and 2 glasses. First of all a man will come to get your hands wash with warm water. And you don’t have to wait there for food. Within a few seconds waiters will come to serve a lot of different dishes. In just 2 or 3 minutes your blank Thali will turn into a colorful Thali with lots of colorful dishes.

One by one they came to us to serve many dishes like – Bhalla (Dahi Wada), Green Chutney, Red Chutney, Garlic Chutney, Salid with Lemon, Chapattis, Papad, Rajasthani Daal, Gujrati Dall, Gujrati Kari, Rice, Khichadi (With Desi Ghee), Aaloo Matar, Paneer, Jeera Aaloo, Puran Poli, Moong ka Rotla (Sweet in taste) and 1 or 2 more items were also there to have. I was really confused about from where to start my lunch.

After lunch they offer you some sweet dishes. We have to choose one sweet dish to have. We got 3 choices in desserts – Moong Daal Halwa, Fresh Fruit Shrikhand and Spanji Rasgulla.

Seriously food was really very good and light. And their presentation was also impressive.

Service and Staff:

As I said that you don’t have to wait for food there and within a few seconds they will come to serve you. So service is really very good and impressive.

And their behavior was also very polite through out the time. I was continuously asking to him about the name of different dishes and every time they replied me with a smile and in a very polite way. Before finishing of one dish they were coming to us for asking whether we want something else or not. And sometime they just force us to taste a new particular dish as like our relatives. That’s so nice of him. I felt like home there.

After finishing of food one waiter again came to us for making our hands wash with warm water.

Ambiance:

This place is really very lively. They have used Rajasthani paintings, which makes it quite traditional as well as stylish in looks. Every corner of this place remains clean and clear.

When we were done with our food and sweet dish, they come with a form and pen to know about our experience of food and service there. There is hanging a Dapli also near the main door. This is again to know about the customer’s experience. If anybody likes the food, presentation or service etc. then he/she can drum that Dapli and in return they all will say in a single tone – “Aavo ji” which means “Welcome Again”.

For me it was a very-very nice experience. Their behavior, food, service and atmosphere everything is superb. I would love to go there again. And if you get any chance to go there…just go there and experience something different.

Take Care,
