Looked like a lavish restaurant when I entered it on the 2nd Floor of the UB City. Here are my views on Khansama.
It was lunch time and I was craving for some delicious food. Here is what I had a feel of .
Starters:
Chicken Rasam was the name of the soup. It actually was chicken shorba; a delicious concoction of Indian spices and diced chicken cooked with a bit of cream.
Followed by the soup were the non-vegetarian starters. There was Amritsari Machchi in fish, chicken kababs cooked to perfection and also a semi-dry mutton masala.
Main Course:
Assorted rotis were served along with an exquisite chicken curry. To accompany it was dal fry and dal makhani too. There was also a paneer dish to which I did not pay attention.
There was no non-vegetarian rice item as such. It was substituted by the Dum Aloo Gobi biryani prepared in seasoned Basmati rice.
Salads & Desserts:
There were a variety od salads to accompany the starters as well as the main course.
Well dressed salads were a treat to the eye as their taste was to the tongues.
There was a choice of strawberry and vanilla ice-creams and to top it was the option of a choco-fountain. Chocolate dipped cakes was yet another option. To top it up were hot golden Gulab Jamoons and Rasagullas decorated with pink rose petals. For all those sugar conscious, were cubed papayas and pineapples.
Ambience:
Great ambience and good service made the meal a commendable experience at Khansama
