Khoya Khoya Chand: Story Of Rise and fall !!!!

This is a movie specially made for special audience! Off course a Masala Movie Lover will never go for a Sudhir Mishra Film and will never like it.

Khoya Khoya Chand a movie full of emotions, a very sensitive film with a sad ending.

Nikhat( Soha Ali Khan) is an aspiring actress. She had a terrible childhood and after doing so many compromises knowingly or unknowingly under pressure of her mother, finally she gets into a relationship with the superstar Prem Kumar(Rajat Kapoor) to get into the industry.

Zafar(Shiny Ahuja) is a young talented writer who also gets in touch with Prem Kumar and help him to give some twists and turn to the script of the movie which Prem Kumar and Nikhat doing along with Ratnbala(Sonia Jehan).

Nikhat comes closer to Zafar when Prem Kumar announces his marriage in a party. Relationship between Nikhat and Zafar continues with lot many problems………….Both highly ambitious and independent individuals, their nature and this fake glamorous world shatter them apart.

Then Zafar  leave Mumabi as well Industry and Nikhat continues with Movies but with help of alcohol.

A story of rising stars, fading stars, insecure actors, jealous and selfish people and a complex lover……….

A story, which tells that every rise has a fall and each star, fades.

Each character in the movie is some how realistic, No character is perfect. Each one is having human weaknesses which is very real. They think about themselves first…. There is a dialogue in the movie: Apne bare mein sochna galat nahi hai?

I must add that dialogues are best part of the movie.

I don’t know why I felt that this story is based on Meena Kumari’s real life story…. Sad beginning, Sad Ending!

Soha looks like her mother and even dialogue delivery in some scenes is like Sharmila Tagore. Performance wise its her best performance. Shiny Ahuja is good but not as good as Hazaron Khwaisen Aisi. Saurav Shukla was excellent. Supporting cast also supported well.

In my opinion a MUST WATCH for viewers who loves serious and sensitive cinema!
