Being one of those rare species who dislike changing gears, I was used to travelling around Bangalore in autos. The need of the day was a vehicle which satisfied the following:
Blaze satisfies all these easily and lot more. I have been riding it for almost two months now and the experiance has been great.
Looks are eye catching. Just buy the red one and youll catch people stare at the vehicle at each and every traffic signal. (PRO)
Power and acceleration is excellent and the surprised look on the faces of other riders is worth watching, provided you also keep an eye on the road. :-) (PRO)
Handling is great with the extra weight, wide rear tyre and all. Be sure to get a disc break version, I have no clue as to how people with drum brakes stop this brute. (PRO)
Seating for the rider is very comfortable. The pillion rider though feels like he/she is in the sky, but still is very confortable. (PRO)
Leg space is ample with multiple riding positions possible. Its a god send for people like me with 6 feet frame. Not a good idea for smaller people though (youll basicaly look odd) (PRO)
Suspension was a bit iffy at first but get the service people to set it right for your weight and its goes smooth. (PRO)
Mileage is an average of 30 in city riding conditions. And believe me the traffic in Bangalore is pathetic. Compare this to around 40 that my friend get from their Unicorns and Pulsars, I must say the blaze is not too bad. (OK)
Fuel tank capacity is something that Kinetic could improve, 6 litres x 30 = 180 KM per refill is not my preference. Especially long rides in and out of Bangalore are a pain with atleast two re fueling. **(CON)
Minor gripes: Tweak the headlight to point at the right angle on a high beam. Horn could have been a little more macho. Plastics could use some improvement. Kinetic could have provided beeper for the indicators as default.
Overall this is "THE" vehicle if you are big, need a auto geared scooter, unique on the roads, and mainly dont mind spending a bit more on fuel.
