Today I took the test drive of much awaited Kinetic Blaze at Cochin, Kerala. As I had booked my test drive I immediately got oppurtunity to test drive the scooter.
I was looking for a scooter with supple suspension so that I can alleviate some back pain and have a good lockable dickey space. Blaze had a good lockable where where you can fit a full faced helmet. Later on I took the scooter to some bad road and found that the suspension is not at all smooth as expected.
The engine was a bit rough but very torquey. A strange sound emanated from the engine or transmission while decelerating.
I dont know how on earth one can stop this machine to halt with that puny drum brakes. The scooter had a good road holding and stability but a handful in city rides. I was feeling as if riding a bullet while riding Blaze.
The paint quality was top notch but the plastics used are horrible. The horn was a miniscule pathetically sounding one. Overall if you ride it you will instantaneously recognize it as a Kinetic scooter by its traits.
I feel that one can expect consitent mileage and drool while driving it. The blaze in red is a great attention seeker. Great looks and presence but the motor that powers it let it down by average refinement.
This scooter will be a good cruiser for sure. But need disk brakes at the earliest.
I had seen lot of reviews praising Kinetic scooters in mouthshut.
My request to all the bolggers out there is please do not do professional blogging for auto manufacturers in this site as some magazines already do. This site when visited by numerous people will make their purchase decisions based on the reviews appearing here. I can feel looking at the reviews that some companies had hired people to just blog.
They blog about their products while write wrong things about competitors products.
