I have been riding the Italiano Blaze for the last 8 months or so. Before that I used to ride my 14 year old Kinetic Honda and 10 year old Kinetic Marvel that were in the family. Had been wanting to buy a two wheeler but it had to be something special because otherwise I was happy, and quite attached to my two Kinetics. I considered the Activa, Dio and the Nova 135 but they didnt strike an emotional chord with me. I tried the bikes too, Pulsar and Unicorn, but I really thought they were not worth the hassle. Having gotten used to the gearfree convenience, and also not wanting to strap my belongings to my back while riding, the bikes were just too much of a pain.
When the Blaze was launched, it was the answer to my dilemmas. I was impressed with this Italian stallion of a motoscooter. Its great looks, and fast performance were exactly what I needed from my new two wheeler. I thought the price was ok too, so I bought one in red, and it has mostly exceeded my expectations.
The looks, presence and speed were as promised. I was delighted to note the good tyres, the great suspension, very comfortable seating, complete instrumentation(including a digital clock!), the four-valve engine technology, etc. The Blaze can take on many a motorcycles in terms of performance - depending upon the rider skill of course; and generally cause quite a surprise on the roads. I get a mileage of 35 kmpl if I ride at high speeds with load/pillion. If I ride decently(50-60kph) and solo, the mileage goes up to 43 kmpl which is fine. I have had no trouble as such with the Blaze, its been a reliable and maintenance-free companion to me wherever I have to go. Done one long ride on the Blaze too, and it was great. reached in no time and was FUN!
overall, I say that the Blaze is fabulous and surely a great two wheeler option for us all.
