I am what you call a discerning buyer - to me it is important that with my money I get a good deal. I am not enamored of flash or show-off type things. So when I was looking for a motorcycle, I did a detailed study of the market including visiting all dealerships, taking test rides, comparing all bikes. And the bike I zeroed on was the Kinetics newest offering the Boss. I will begin by saying that Kinetic is my favorite two wheeler company - I have used in my life, one Luna moped, one Safari and also one Kinetic Honda scooter. All have been greatly reliable, trouble free and a joy to ride and own.
Now about the Boss - its specifications are fairly standard - its 100cc four stroke and comes with all the standard features. What is special about it is its styling - its macho in an understated way not over the top, its durability, reliability and tremendous fuel efficiency. I am getting 80 kmpl plus on a regular basis. I take long drives and its comfortable, there is no pain in my back or neck or anything. My pillion is comfortable too - there is a nice long foot board to rest on. In my three month of ownership the bike has been absolutely trouble free.
To come to its drawbacks - lets face it that this is an economy bike. Its not a loaded bike with many gizmos or superpowered engine. Its not a GF 125 or a Pulsar. Its pickup and power is good, sufficient but its not a racer. It doesnt have the many goodies that kinetics challenger had - like digital gear indicator, etc.
What the boss is a reliable and strong commuter bike, at an astonishing price (Rs. 31, 999 ex sh). It is fun also, and nice looking...
Overall I recommend it..
