Hi people you may not expect me to write a review on this bike..THIS IS NOT A REVIEW.... I barely saw the bike for 10 minute’s...last week when I went to Hyderabad... I saw this bike parked in the cellar of HUDA building [hyderabad urban development association]..which is in ameerpet..by seeing it I was very suprised because in WHOLE of AndraPradesh only 2 Comet’s are there and I get to see one in front of my eye’s.....
I cant tell you much about the technical spec’s ..but I will tell you what I saw.......it has two disc’s one in the back and the other one in the front....According to the ad. in BUISNESS STANDARD MOTORING[november issue] it has some goodie’s like inverted type shock’s, wide tube less tires, 250cc v-twin oil cooled engine .
On the first look this bike look’s cool and muscular..but I dont like the head lamp it sucks.......the chrome meter, s mark upto 200kmph ..I love it’s tail lamps..oh god tires are very broad.....the aquilla has the same engine as the comet...it is said to make 27bhp@10, 500rpm....sadly i don’t think any one will reach the 10, 500rpm figure in indian road’s.........if any one wants to shell out Rs 1, 94, 000[on road hyderabad] they can go for this one.....
And suprise suprise The kinetic takes full responsablity of servicing this VEHICLE.....but I don’t know how the service men in kinetic service centers technically know about the bike.....4 month’s ago when I went to kinetic dealer for my service of my nova[vijayawada, pujita motors] I saw a aquilla been readyed for delivery..i ask them who bought it...they replied a MEDICO....
They told they will take the full responsability of service if necesarry they will call an service engineer from pune if the bike has any big technical problem’s
My suggestion is if you wanna be like John abraham in DOOM ...
1 year ago when I WENT Abu dhabi in United arab Emirates[U.A.E] IN SHORT dubai..[my father works there as a doctor ]..i came across a SECOND hand bike market.. I came across Kawasaki ninja’s, , , Honda CBR, , , Kawasaki XJR1000cc.....the kawasaki ninja retails to about DH 25, 000[currency of UAE]..WHICH IS ABOUT Rs 2, 74, 000 indian rupees...it was in very good condidtion and had about 11, 000kms in the odo....so if you can get a completly Japanese made motorcycle for that price why do you go for some cheap Korean duplicate of ducati monstor...the indian duty rates for 2nd used bikes or cars is very less compared to new ones ......so go on a holiday to uae and buy one ......there is avery big market of second hand bikes in Dubai.
