I bought my kinetic laser 21/03/2004, yellow color. I liked its stylish body and was impressed. My previous bike was a hero honda passion and I still have it.
Riding on laser is quite comfortable and people really get envious by the looks it has got. I get people staring at my bike at almost every stop signal.
Problems:
It has run around 500 kms so far and the only problem I face are minor ones. Gear shifting is one of them. If you bike is in 1st then moving it to neutral is a real pain at times. Thank God it has the same gear starting ability that was in yamaha unlike hero honda.
Other problem which I faced was that at times it will not show which gear the bike is in, though experienced riders know when to shift gear but a problem is a problem.
Fuel gauge starts showing full even the tank is even more than half filled and I am real worried when it will show empty, will be too late for me to get filled-up if I am on a long journey and no filling stations near-by.
The side stand keep bike in almost standing position and runs a risk of falling if somebody gives it a little push.
Now the good things:
the pick-up is great and you can leave behind all those 100-180cc, only exception where I raise hands is Karizma. Also if the bullet has already picked-up the speed then chasing that is a real pain.
it gives you a feeling of security at high speeds as today when I was trying to chase an Accord(I really dare) at 100, I wasnt feeling scared that I wud have riding my passion.
Braking is good though at high speed when you push rear brake paddle it touches ground(?) or donno what happens to it. I feel it touches ground and bears a risk of trembling...
