If you want a great bike that attracts the attention and is really a blast to ride this is it.
I have had mine for 6 months or so. Put 1000 kms on it and did the big first tune up.
I really like this bike, Ive been a biker for 37 years and this is a very unique ride.
I like to brag about it but have a few complaints you may want to watch for.
1) rattles and vibrations! Perhaps its just mine, but I have been bugged by these sounds and it feels cheap. The gear shifter rattles, there are strange vibrations around the gas tank that I have wedged with a bit a rubber to silence.
The damn thing has no helmet lock?
The dash is cool(digital) but a bit cheap looking(yes its readable in full sunlight) but it lacks a tach. dumb oversight! and no doubt easy to have included.
The big fat exhaust is a potential hazard to a passenger, I branded a friend pretty good when he hopped off the wrong side wearing shorts!
Now then, the thing that bugs me the most, apart from really bad gas mileage(and I drive conservatively, its getting a tragic 30mpg at this point, think I will take it back to the dealer and get them to check that out, it suppose to get about double that) but the thing that scares me most is winding it up and shifting through the gears with all the G force on me and trying to hang on . the foot pegs are too far forward(even when adjusted back) for my average 5 11 body.and no my legs are not short and I weigh 180 lbs. Its due to the cruiser styling and the fact you are sitting in a very precarious position, bit like a lazyboy recliner and that is not good for torquing through the gears and keeping yourself anchored in the seat. I find myself hooking my right foot under the brake petal to help keep me from flying off.
Now dont get me wrong here, the bike is great, the price is terrific, the look is amazing and the power is terrific. The quality is probably good but only time will tell and the plasticbling chrome may prove to be a disaster in the future but right now I am styling and I had the prestige of having the only one in town(Vancouver) for many months.
