Looks are deceiving

Having owned the Kinetic Honda from mid 90s, I was a fan of kintic scooters.

Couple of months ago, I was shopping for a small scooter for my wife. I looked at few options the Hero Honda Pleasure, Honda Activa, Scooty PEP+ and Kinetic Kine.

I liked the looks of Kine and I liked the way the vehicle sounded. I had a feeling that the vehicle had a better pickup compared to honda activa. Being a pervious owner of kinetic scooter, I went ahead and bought Kinetic Kine from AAdya Kinetic, bangalore.

After couple of days the vehicle was ready for delivery. I went to the showroom and drove the vehicle back to home. On the way back, about a mail from the showroom, the vehicle stopped in between. Thanks to the dealer, he was trying save some money, the fuel was empty.

Myself and my wife had to push the vehicle a kilometer to get to the next petrol bunk to refill the tank.

After that, for a couple of days, the vehicle ran good. Then started the problem. When ever the vehicle is running, the engine would just stop for no reason. I took the vehicle to the dealer. He changed the fuel line, adjusted few things here and there. But the problem never went off.

After a month, I took the vehicle for the first service. The service technician told me that this is an usual problem with all Kines. I had to leave 1/2 liter petrol always in the vehicle all the time it seems.

On top of that, while refueling, first I need to fill petrol and at the end add the oil. Adding the oil before petrol block the carburator it seems.

On top of all these things, I am getting just 30 kmpl milage.   I am deeply disappointed. Now I am carrlying 1 liter petrol in the vehicle in a separate bottle :(

This vehicle sucks. I should have bought Scooty Pep+ or activa.

Cons:

Poor Milage.

Fuel blockage, and engine shuts off very often.

Highly unreliable (I am not letting my wife drive this vehicle at all)

No fuel indicator. Is a real problem.

Need to leave 1/2 liter petrol in the tank always.

Pros:

Looks great.
