Im sixteen so my parent were like ummmmmmm.....u know beta, chotte ho chotte raho . So I have my heart set on a NOVA-135. My friend loaned me one for a weekend and it was pure bliss.
No great shakes for a motor-cyclist...but the Nova has power and a hell of a lot of it.Im 63 and heavyset so on an Activa the engine strains with me alone..but doubling on a Nova is piece of cake.
And the acceleration.....zooooom lets say no scooter can compete with it....and even a few bikes(a kinetic boss for example).
The top speed is not great but the fastest for any motoscooter on indian roads 84kmph with a 92kg guy driving is definitely not a joke.
The linear power delivery isnt very uniform though..and the exhaust note is definitely a put off, still with a helmet on and short straights youd hardly notice these short -comings.
Servicing is not a problem either...my friend has been to a garage twice in nine months. And the Kinetic service is legendary(ok...a little exaggeration).
A little less costlier than the Activa it may sometimes be under-efficient but that depends mostly on whether youre a 16 yr old on his first vehicle or a 40yr old on his last! But a minimum of 35 and a maximum of 47 is expected.
One problem you might face though is that it frequently stops while idling...sometimes even on the go..but thats not a real issue a visit to your friendly neighbourhood garage can fix it in about ten minutes!
The Nova is comfortable and light...i mean it...try sitting on the pillon seat and then accelerate using full throttle nine times out of ten the front wheel will lift about three or four inches!
The Nova is especially useful for stop and go situations like school time rush..or during the customary office hour traffic jam and now with a mileage indicator you can ensure it fits well within your budget.
So, for teenyboppers(like me) or middle aged people looking for a safer rush of adrenalin....the Nova is definitely for you.
