Bad servicing by Kinetic D. R. Motors

I am writing this in an extreme state of anguish after 2 days of consecutive servicing by the mechanics at D.R. Motors.


I gave my Kinetic Nova 2004 model for servicing on 13th June to D.R. Motors situated almost 25 kms from my office and 20 kms from my home. The vehicle was skidding too much on wet roads so I asked him to replace my rear tyre. I got the vehicle home after servicing that day.


Next morning when I started my vehicle it started giving some sound in my rear tyre, I tolerated it for the entire travel from home to office and back home. I went back again on Saturday to get this sound rectified and they told me that the ball bearing in the rear tyre needs to be changed. I asked them how can it suddenly go bad after a tyre change and they said it usually happens after years of wear and tear. Reluctantly I asked them to change the ball bearing, they made me wait there for almost 4 hours. The service incharge first wasted time by not being able to identify the problem as to why the sound was coming in the rear tyre and when he found the problem he asked me to come back later since it was their lunch time. They could only change the ball bearing after lunch.


I patiently waited for them to rectify the issue and I took the vehicle home. Today morning when I opened the dicky to take out my cleaning cloth I noticed what a shoddy job they had done. The entire dicky and stepney has been broken. There are visible damages on the frame of the scooter as well, it looks like the frame will fall off any moment now. The indicator lights on the mirrors have also been removed. Repeated calls to the D.R. Motors is not yielding anything.


3 years back I had the choice of taking a Honda Activa, and I think I should have stuck with it. I urge other customers to give a good thought about buying anything from Kinetic. Dont go on the looks of their vehicles. As they say "all that glitters is not gold" and it certainly holds true for these guys. Their current offer of 3500 worth of goodies with Nova 135 is also crap. What will you do the free goodies when your 45000 worth Nova wont start, run and after every servicing there will be a new problem with the bike. I wish there was an online consumer court where I could register my complaint and somebody could take some affirmative action against these people so that other customers are not harassed.
