This is my first review on MS. First of all, I would like to thank all other Nova 135 users who have written their review and guided me to go for Nova 135.
Since all the technical specifications and the comparison between Activa and Nova 135 are discussed in the other reviews, I wont be doing that. I’ll try to focus on the two questions which are still unanswered:
1)Why Nova 135’s engine makes more noise than Activa?
2)Why there are more Activas on the road than Nova?
Well the answer for the first question is quite logical. Since Nova 135’s engine is much powerful than Activa’s (Nova’s is 135 CC and Activa’s is 102 CC) it is bound to make more noise. But then, if you want more pick-up and power, you shouldn’t complain about the noise.
A little incident happened just a day before I wrote this review, which gave me the answer for the second question. One of my friend bought Activa a week ago. I asked him, ’’why did you go for Activa rather than Nova 135? Nova 135 has better specs and better user experiences’’. He answered, ’’I went for Activa, because it has the brand name of Honda.’’ I was little surprised that people are just going for brand name. They dont care for the quality. That’s the reason why there are more Activas on the road than Nova.
About my experience, I am really very happy with Kinetic Nova 135. It’s about a month since I got it. I have done about 700 kms and I am getting the mileage abt 45 kmpl and I am being told by the kinetic dealer that it will improve by 5 kmpl after first service. I think that’s pretty good for autogeared scooter. Underseat storage is a big plus. All other things are as specified and satisfactory.
Just to end, I’ll like to tell all those who are confused between Activa and Nova that dont just trust the brand name. Ask those who are using it.
