I had brought a kinetic Nova around a year and three months back. I found the vehicle to be barely okay and not at all to what has been claimed or advertised. It is understood that an auto gear vehicle does not give you a good mileage but a mileage of 31-34 per litre is pathetic to say the least.
In this age of high fuel efficiency , I think a mileage of 31-34 is pathetic. It was advertised as having a mileage of 60 km per litre but has fallen short of it by a mile.
The vehicle has got good looks and is an easy ride. Another strong point is that it has sufficient storage space. It is essentially a vehicle for those who use one sparingly and I don’t think anyone can afford to ride one on a regular basis.I had recommended this vehicle as as I had brought it to one of my friends who purchased it based on my recommendation. He regrets taking my advice till date. I am told that this vehicle has been voted as the best scooter for the year 2003, which I find it very difficult to believe.
I have been a frequent visitor to the service station so much so that I am on first name terms with all the mechanics there.
To sum it up the Kinetic Nova is good in looksand bad in practically everything else. At Rs 40, 000 a model, buying it is a folly financially also. Buy it at your own risk.
