I did an extensive review of the(auto) scooter market before deciding on the Flyte. Its been a pretty good experience till now. I have refrained from blogging since I wanted to be sure of the facts before I put out a review. I am a s/w engineer in bangalore and use flyte mostly to commute from office to home.
As quoted in various other reviews, the front fuelling, telescopic suspension, foldable mirrors, ride comfort, handling etc are all on the positive for the flyte.
However, the mileage realisticically is 40 and not beyond in Bangalore traffic. I have tried running this vehicle many times filling it to the full which realastically holds 4 litres and never exceeds 160 KMs. anybody saying 50-55 are either having some vested interest in Kinetic or are pretty excited with their first vehicle. This is not to offend anybody but the realty is mileage of 40.
Sometimes its a bother with the small tank capacity to keep refueelinng the bike. the other con is the fuel gauge which is full till the neck of the tank has pertol and then goes from full to empty very quickly when the fuel is in the base. this is the design of flyte(front fuelling) which cannot be avoided.
The most surprising thing for me is some people with vested interests talk about mileage as 50 and above. even Mr. Dilip Bam seems to be very interested in Kinetic and claims it is the best scooter in the country though he has not tested access.
All said, its a decent vehicle as of now. no major complaints. smooth ride but dont expect the flight to be a boeing. It is a good automatic scooter and probably the best to the(crappy) competition that it does have.
