I test drove all four vehicles which I had shortlisted.
Activa is a no nonsense scooter and you cant go wrong with it. However it is now old technology, noisier than the rest, pick up is good at best and driving comfort is ok. It is expensive for its value
Access is fast, sturdy, powerful but has less gas mileage than the rest and looks great for people in the 40-60 age group. I cant find fault if somone chooses this over others. It is loud and the ride at best is ok.
Rodeo and Flyte are the fastest of the lot, least noisy and an extremely comfortable ride. They are also great designs and offers more trunk room than the rest. Rodeo has fancy and digital dash and will appeal to the younger generation. They both have the best front suspension, way better than activa and Access. If you have a back problem like I do, go no further than these two vehicles. Ground clearance is lower than the rest and it is advisable to go over humps at lower speed.
I finally chose Flyte considering all pros and cons, and it is the best value scooter in the market, hands down. Flyte has 10 mm more ground clearance than Rodeo . the final icebreaker
Give Mahindra some time, and they will improve quite well in the service department. and if you are buying in Bangalore, I would strongly recommend that you do so at CVS dealer between Windsor Manor and Cauvery theatres. Their service is very, very good.
