I have been reading and researching on buying a new motorcycle. I have been riding a Kinetic Boss for sometime now but I am giving it to my brother and so wanted a bike that is more premium this time, I am willing to spend a little more.
I had narrowed my choices to:
Kinetic Velocity (since Ive been so happy with the Kinetic Boss)
Hero Honda Splendor Plus
Hero Honda PAssion plus
and the new TVS Centra
I will never buy a Bajaj bike because I’ve had a disastrous experience with the Boxer. And did not want LML Freedom also because it has quality problems. LIkewise the Victor (which my friend has) has given too many problems - starting trouble and also the mileage has been dropping, and maintenance costs increasing.
I have chosen the Kinetic Velocity after detailed study of all bikes. What influenced my decision was the latest auto India (march 2004) which happily, compared all my four chosen bikes on various parameters.
Since mileage is so important, that was my main concern. Here are Auto India’s quoted mileage figures for the four bikes:
Splendor Plus, Passion plus, Velocity Centra

ok? so fuel effieincy is clearly won by the Kinetic Velocity.
Now lets look at performance related factors:

so I think looking at these figures the verdict is clear. Plus Auto India praises velocity no end on its stability, suspension, style, high technology of throttle sensor etc.
I have booked my Velocity, and waiting for delivery now. I also read reviews on this website as my research so thank you to all those bikers who have been reviewing and recommending the stylish Velocity. I’ll write again after I’ve had a few months experience with my new love!!
