Some things have what it takes. And some things dont. To be absolutely marvelous in one thing usually always means compromising on something else. It is rare, or rather impossible, to be perfect in everything that you need. For some God-forsaken reason, perfection never likes to befriend completely. Either it will kiss you on the cheek and kick you in the crotch, or caress you there and slap you in the face. (Pardon this heavy-duty rudeness).
The Review Now?
Style and Build
I started with saying this and I repeat it here again. Some things have it in them and some things dont. And Zing does. Zing is, in my opinion, the perfect blend of sober and stylish. It is classy and impressive without being unnecessarily dandy. It is pretty and just feminish enough to give it a perfect unisex look- that men on it wont feel out of place and girls on it wouldnt mind wearing dresses while riding it.
Vehicles like TVS Scooty and Bajaj Spirit have a very good appearance as well but they tilt more towards the feminine side. When I picture the vehicle, I find it more suitable for a my didi to ride it rather than me.
As opposed to this, Activa and Dio have a distinctly masculine, macho appearance, making it less popular with girls of the conservative type. Zing is a favourite, however, with girls of all kind and boys as well. As I said? somethings have it in them and some just don?t.
Performance
I just can not help but create a rhythm to my review and to every rhythm there is a uniformity and a monotony. Somethings have it?.
In this portion of our consideration of the vehicle, I am afraid we will have to attach a negative to Zing. With a meek 60cc engine, light and tending-to-be flimsy fuselage Zing is just not the go-fast vehicle, tut-tut. It is the most foolish thing to think that youll mount this vehicle and zoom around the city and take a long round of the city and come back and your vehicle will give you all you need. Youre wrong.
Youll do better off going on a modest 40 kilometers to an hour, take a very composed cruise of the street, adjust your sparkling sunglasses in a very classy fashion and smile at anybody who looks at you (which probably will be a good number).
Performance-wise, the vehicle doesnt have it in it. Not that its a weak, powerless loser, no-no! It has the power to deliver 60 kmph but that is not at all an advisable speed if you care about having the vehicles two years hence. All Im saying it, you cant become a roadie with this.
Fuel Efficience
Somethings have it? I told you, I just can not do without this rhythm, this uniformity. I just cant do without having this very subtle and all-controlling basic axiom that you have to, and just have to, return to again and again.
As far as fuel-efficiency is concerned, Zing has it and has a lot of it. I tested three of these vehicles. One of them was satisfied with 52 to a litre, the other two 55 and 63 to a litre. Sum it up and average, you get 56 roughly to a litre. I have a feeling I dont need to tell you much about whether thats good or bad. You can decide that, cant you?
Summing it Up
So, all in all, how is the Zing? Zing has, as I said, the perfect unisex look making it very good for everyone as far as looks are concerned. For this perfection, it compromised on the performance making it unsuitable for regular use at high-speeds. But, Zing is very economical and controls its diet delivering a very good 56 to a litre of petrol. But I havent told you the most attractive feature about it! It costs just about 24, 000 Rs on the road making it a very economical option right from the first step of owning it.
If I was the one making the decision, Id certainly consider the Zing as an option. Of course, Id select the more macho ones, but het, I said Ill consider the Zing!
