When I bought zoom, Kinetic dealer (Hi Tech, Chennai) told me that I would get 50 km/road. Little did I know that I have to live on a highway to get that mileage. Once, I gave my zoom for servicing, and I found a shaky sound especially when I stopped.
A week later, Hitech, Chennai charged me for a nut/bolt to rectify the problem!!The problems with the vehicle are poor starting just after 5-6 months. Hi Tech, Chennai told me that its just the winter (which is non-exixtant in Chennai)!!
So, I went to another - Rajkamal, Chennai! While it is printed on the warranty manual that I have to pay 80/- per service they charged 150/- saying this is what they are doing to every body! After the warranty period (extneded two year!), one service dealer told me that I have to replace the battery and I had almost replaced it!! Luckily, the zoom did not start on electronic ignition.
I refused to accept the new battery and visited Amco Yuasa. Amco check the specific gravity, filled in distilled water and told me that the battery is ok but the voltage from the rectifier is only 13.8 VDC instead of 14.4VDC. If I go to kinetic dealer he will deginitely try to sell a new alternator costing 1500-2000/-, while I am sure only the rectifier has gone (that to I am sure during the warranty period!!). But, service procedure is such that you can not catch them! Therefore, be careful if you plan to buy Kinetic as they are busy selling motorcycles and are forgetting gearless scooters.
