I traveled on KingFisher in August 2006 on the Blr-Del-Blr route. While all airlines left on time, this on time this was 2 hours delayed and cited the reason as runway closure in Delhi due to security. However all other Airlines traveling to Delhi were not facing this issue. I also found out that the flight had been running late for the last two days and was un-officially rescheduled. What disturbed me was that while even low-cost airlines like Deccan & SpiceJet do a great job SMSing you in case of delays, King Fisher did not even bother to inform. I had even called from home before starting out for Blr airport. Even at that time they did not inform.
So I hung around at the airport twiddling my thumbs and watching people who had paid far less merrily boarding their flights be it Deccan, Jet, or any other to Delhi. And this was sans refreshments. Unlike Jet (which in my opinion is the best in India) that gives you CoffeeDay vouchers as refreshment vouchers these guys had nothing.
We reached Delhi late afternoon. Then the baggage took forever to arrive. It took them 45 minutes to get the bags! I was there on an important work and guess what missed all my meetings! When I wrote to customer care at KingFisher they did nothing. I also later wrote to Mr Mallaya, guestcare and several other email ids posted on their website. However nothing was done. They never even had the decency to respond to my mails.
Now I make sure I avoid KingFisher. Even on business trips I make sure that my colleagues and I are booked on some other airline. So KingFisher go fish! I certainly will not fly you again.
