I recently travelled on Kingfisher from Kochi to Chennai. It was a 2 hour flight but on a day when the sun was out and making a bold "hot" statement.
I had asked for an exit row aisle seat and was given one but the person at check-in failed to tell me that it was also a bulkhead seat. This is a tough one for me to sit in since I am 6 tall and could not stretch my legs given that the flight attendant had her sit just slightly ahead of me. The airline did not waste any space on this aircraft whatsoever. Every nook and cranny had a purpose. The overhead bins were too small to place even a small laptop bag and when you did manage to squeeze them in, you had a tough time getting them out.
The interior of the plane was a furnace (since the windows were not shut) when the plane landed and the passengers deplaned.
Additionally, the overhead "fan" outlets just did not work throughout the journey. I definitely did not expect to be sitting inside an aircraft for 2 hours and sweat they way I did on this trip. I do realize that airlines are finding ways to cut expenses and food and drinks is one key area of focus. if that is the case, I would rather not have any food given to me as opposed to being served something that feels like was made in the previous century. The bread was stale and had no taste to it. This is not something that I would even offer to my worst enemy.
Overall, I was not pleased with the product delivered to me in the form of a ticket and don;t think that I will travel on Kingfisher even if I were paid to do so.
