I flew Kingfisher Airlines from Goa to Bombay. As I reached the door of the airport lounge, I was pleasantly surprised when a Kingfisher Airlines porter, dressed in red overalls, took my ticket and led me into the airport. He got the baggage screened and requested me to take a seat as the check in counter was closed. As soon as the check in counter opened, he wheeled my baggage trolley to the counter and the put the tag on my cabin baggage. The staff at the check in counter was very co-operative.
The flight was delayed by about an hour, but it was due to some logistics problem which could not be attributed to the airline.Kingfisher Airline customer care executives were present everywhere at the airport and were very friendly.
The aircraft was a brand new Airbus A 320. The cabin crew was smart and co-operative.Seats were wider and thankfully there was more leg space.Lighting in the aircraft was fine. The IFE was good but the programming was repetitive. Thanks to IFE I did not feel bored even though there was some delay in the aircraft taking off.
Before take off the Flight Attendants distributed the in flight-kits which consisted of a funky pouch with earphones, a pen, sweets, tissue etc.The take off and landing were smooth. In flight magazine was good.
It was nice to hear Mr. Mallya mention in his pre-recorded message to the passengers that he had issued instructions to the crew to treat us as guests in his home. Another novel feature was that Yana Gupta appeared on the IFE display to demonstrate safety instructions.
The meals were delicious and served hot.The variety in the food is better than that on other airlines. All in all Mr. Mallya has done a good job.
Kingfisher Airlines is good value for money. Good times start right from the ground before you board the aircraft.Ground support services are given by Indian Airlines. Highly Recommended !!!
