I Tend to judge an airline by the following factors
Ability to make the journey comfortable for mothers travelling with infants
Dealing with adversities like flight cancellation, weather related issues etc
Of all the airlines I have flown Kingfisher has been better than every domestic
airline I have taken in India and the US put together.
Each time I send my wife and kid in the airline(we have done it six times so far) they are greeted at the ticketing counter, the baby is carried by an attendant and taken priority past security, the handling at the receiving end is equally amazing with someone helping them out right from the bus they board to reach arrivals.
I have had to deal with a flight cancellation in adverse weather conditions. Here too the airline scored brownie points. Someone called me up, informed me, explained all my options and when I indicated my choice , they promised to have it all sorted out in an hour, came back to me within the hour and kept their end of the deal.
No customer service rep in Kingfisher ever passed the buck, took full responsibility for their actions and delivered. If ever Kingfisher goes IPO, this is a value stock to buy.
BTW all this for very good fares(much cheaper than jet airways). The entertainment center, food, seats are all good but as I said it was a bonus
