I took a short haul flight(COK-MAA) a couple of months ago, and was quite impressed.
Right at the point in time when I got dropped off at the airport, a uniformed ground staff made eye contact, and figured me out of the herd that I was taking this flight, (albeit cattle class), briskly he came to the car, picked my luggage and took me to the check-in. He waited till I got my boarding pass and then parted politely. This was an amazing experience which I never had when I flew in many other airlines worldwide(some touted as premium)(Far better than the Virgin Atlantic flight VS3tinker belle that I took from LHR to JFK. Sonly similarity is some red - but the likeness ends there) I had terrible experience with baggage/check-in
At the holding area, the red clad lasses were keeping the passengers informed on the updated arrival of the slightly delayed aircraft and even assuring that it it the correct aircraft though it was not wearing red color(being a part of a recent acquisition)
It was also my first experience on an ATR aircraft, and even in that crammed confines, the girls were well under control right from the pre-flight demo through the distribution of snacks and then sitting facing the audience on the jump seat.
Well done Kingfisher - Not sure when I will get another chance to enjoy this on air hospitality.
