Kingfisher says - "King of Good Times" and "the best airlines of India". Well, if you put competiton in context then those statements are really true. But if you keep them in isloation then a lot is left to be desired!
Cons:
a) Punctuality is the weakest point - Of all the times I travelled "Good times", I have been made to wait from 20-45 mins as flights get delayed every time. Agreed that in India one of the major cause of delays is the absolute pathetic airport infrastructure we have. But then how come Kingfisher manages to be delayed everytime whereas with Jet it is not the case!
b) Food - Even though KF prides itself of providing the best food among the airlines(and it does), yet there is lack of options to select. They give you the menu card to choose from, but almost everytime they are out of stock with what you order, so you are either forced to eat what they provide or dont eat at all!
c) Poor website - If an airlines proclaims itself to be the best in business then it ought to have the best online expericence too via its website. However, the "Good Times" are not to be found on KF website. Lack of information such as online flight status and cluttered navigation makes me turn off from their website.
Pros:
a) Simply the best maintained aircrafts - competition doesnt exist in this case.
b) The best crew onboard and at airport - again no competition
c) Best check-in experience - competition is far behind.
I just hope that Mr Mallaya truly makes this airlines "Good Times" in all aspect because in him I see a person who has the passion of taking on the world and making them sit and take notice of his products. KF management would do well to keep on improving on the cons I mentioned above and not get laid back due to non-existence of the competition.
PS - Am waiting for KF to be allowed to fly to outside India, esp Europe/US. Mr Mallaya would truly make those trips memorable.
