Ok, Ill keep it simple... Pros and Cons :-PROS - NONE (Earlier when Kingfisher Red was Deccan, at least it was cheap and you could buy food. Now even that is gone.)CONS -1. Uncomfortable seating (unless you are 10 years old or younger, or 4 feet tall or shorter) -
There is zero leg space for grown up adults. In fact for tall people, Id say it feels like you are being packed into your seat and will be safe despite all the turbulence because there simply isnt enough space for you to be thrown or jerked around. The backrest of the seat offers hardly any rest at all. You spend the entire flight time trying to find a comfortable position and by the time you land, all you get is a rather stiff neck and terrible back ache. 2. Delay - More often than not, if you are lucky, your flight will take off from the departure terminal at the time it was supposed to land at your destination.
If you are unlucky, or Kingfisher Red is operating normally, you will be at least delayed by 3 hours. So every time you book your tickets through this Airline, make sure you have nothing else planned for the day. After all you never know when you will reach.3. Food - The least an airline should do is keep enough meals for each ticket booked. Kingfisher doesnt do even that. They somehow always manage to end up 15 - 20 meals short and leave their inflight staff to apologise and make up with some other poor excuse for food such as stale samosas and left over dal chawal.
I dont mind paying for food, but at least give me the option and make the food available. In short, I had a terrible experience. Our flight from BBSR to Delhi left at 10.15 instead of 7.55 and reached Delhi at 12.30. This made sure there would be no food available once we reached. The least I expected was to make do with the food served in the flight. However, by the time my turn came, the biriyani was over and I was given the choice of veg snacks, which consisted of a couple of samosas or a "complete veg meal" which consisted of rice and some mixed veg curry which had no vegetables. Disgusting !!Mr. Mallya.. before you "take it personally", why dont you fly with your own airlines once like a normal passenger and see for yourself. I am never going to "fly with the good times" again.
