Kingfisher is my preferred airline. It’s the best among the domestic airlines. The in-house entertainment is a differentiator. Although the TV channels are not live, it still makes for a good time to catch-up on the programmes I miss watching at home.
Music channels are great and there’s a choice of about 6-8 different channels playing Hindi and English music.
The other great differentiator is the food. You get to see a menu card of veg and non-veg food served. The choice is less, but the taste and meal appropriateness to the time of the flight is well thought of.
One major drawback is the reading stuff. The in-house magazine is a real bore, with just page 3 news from cover to cover. Every time I fly I give them feedback on introducing better quality magazines. Hopefully my feedback is being mulled.
Hopefully Kingfisher will introduce more flights to places like Mangalore, Bhubaneswar and other upcoming places. And pray with the growth, quality will not be compromised.
