Last week while returning to home, I had a chance of flying in kingfisher red A320 airbus from Bhubaneswar to Bangalore. I always avoid travelling in air Deccan, as my friends advised me not to travel. After Deccan rebranded to kingfisher red, I just want to try. As usual the flight was not on time, the scheduled departure time was at 12.00PM, but no announcement was made. By 12:15 they announced that flight coming from Delhi will be flying to Bangalore. After 45 minutes, I boarded the flight, something looked strange to me, the whole flight was modified to economic class. Definitely Kingfisher red is the cheapest ticket of kingfisher airlines.
CARELESS CREW MEMBERS: All the passengers were making noise and moving here and there looking for their seats. There’s no proper guidance from the ground staffs and the flight crew member.AC was not on, kids were crying and there was total confusion all around. After a while everything settled and flight took off.
UNCOMFORTABLE SEETING ARRANGEMENT: I was searching for the push back seat button, I can’t able to find it. Then the flight attendant told me that it was a non-reclining seat, we have to sit straight. There’s no space to rest your foot, I think they reduced the space between and fitted few extra seats. The seats were so uncomfortable, for nearly 2 hrs I was sitting straight.
FOOD QUALITY: They provided Briyani, oh horrible, it’s nothing but mixture of chili powder and rice.
NO PROPER ANNOUNCEMENTS: There was much turbulence in the air throughout the flight, no announcement were made at all.
CLEANLINESS: The cabins were dirty, I can see the waste papers lying all around.
There were no flight entertainment systems. Price was not low as compare to other airlines. They charged 6500 rupees. I never felt comfortable while flying in choppers, now I feel, chopper is far far better than Kingfisher red. Overall I am disappointed with the horrible experience and I will never fly kingfisher red again.
