A heart warming story........an intimate experience reading the book....feel as close to the characters as the author must have felt.......perhaps even more..a story well told..amir, is a very humane charcter who does have an equally humane heroic side to him.ironic???
Maybe!!but thats the way khaled hossieni writes..truly the author of the generation..irrespective of what genre you enjoy, do not miss out on this one..hmm...goin around in this world without having read this book defeats the very purpose of living...hmm.....
And I would not be surprised if your eyes go all weepy reading it...not because it talks about deep emotions and other banal stuff but because it is a very honest, simple, genuine andunputdownable......and if youve read it and hence obviously relished it, go for the second book by the same author-a 1000 splendid suns..go ahead and savour the book ...happy reading!!
