This serial is also an example of how a tele-serial got off to a wonderful start and then something happened... We were taken into the lives of Kitty-friends who were there for each other come what may.There was Manju(Poonam Dhillon)who was leading a comfortable life with hubby Manoviraj(Kiran Kumar) but she had a dark secret which she was hiding from husband and was paying a blackmailer a hefty amount to keep it that way(it is another story how it turned out to be such an anti-climax in the end).And there was Rewa(Kavita Kapoor)who was married to Daboo(a poor man’s Kabir Bedi), also well to do but was still lusting after her college sweet-heart Manoviraj.Pixie(Achint Kaur)was a divorcee who was struggling hard to make ends meet and provide for her son’s needs.We had Tina(Shweta Salve)who had to pretend that she was an’’aadarsh bahu’’to her in-laws(more like out-laws..hahaha!!).There was Kukoo(Deepshikha)who was a total’’bindaas’’female crazily in love with her much engaged boss(Vivek Mushran).We also had Vidya(Maya Alagh)who is obsessed with her teenaged daughters’ studies&results(so natural!!).And last but not the least we had Nilofer(Preeti Dayal)who was a spinster by choice and lived alone.So far so good!!Then a lot of things happened...Manju’s secret came out, Daboo died, Tina’s facade was over, Vidya’s husband was involved with another woman, Pixie’s husband re-married and the serial still kept us interested.A few characters were introduced:Vasundhara(Kunika)who was pure evil and Pammi(good-old-Mohan Kapoor)who was there to take revenge for his brother Daboo’s death!!And now things started to change... Many useless characters were introduced and made quick exits but not before they had destroyed it!!The most undigestable sub-plot is the’’Tina becomes a TV star plot’’and her relationship with her male co-star thing.Can anyone please please tell me how our film&tv heroes manage to get a girl pregnant after spending just one night with them??!!Now we have Tina’s husband’s girlfriend pregnant with his child(haven’t they heard of a thing called abortion??!!).Vidya seems to have completely’’lost it’’and she looks horrible in that wig(and I thought Preity Zinta’s wig in Armaan was bad, but this one really does take the cake!!).Pixie has now started overacting and is always jumpy about one thing or another. I think Ms.Shobha De will have to come out with something spectacular otherwise people will just stop watching it.It will require a huge effort on the part of the writers to bring it back on track!!Till that day comes...I am not watching it anymore.
