Main Kkusum...
Kkusum is yet another Ekta Kapoor’s rona dhona serial. Kkusum started off with a good storyline, a middle class girl getting married to a rich guy and the consequent problems which follow.
The serial had Nausheen Aly Sardar, a talented actress in the title role which added colour to the role with her brilliant and spontaneous acting. We had Savita Prabhune in her mom’s role, who also did a good job.
Kkusum marries Abhay, who is already in love with Esha, Kkusum’s best friend!! Things are revealed after a much long trail, and Kkusum goes back to her ’mommy’s house. Kkusum later gets pregnant.
Abhay brings her home. Then, there are a lot of boring episodes, finally Kkusum looses her baby, divorces Abhay, and marries Siddharth (He is the most goodlooking guy in all the K-serials), who are now thrown out of the house and are living separately.
As far as the looks are concerned, this serial tops all the other serials.
The ’DEVANSHI’ mystery was extremely beautifully put up, and so was the ’Kkusum- Sid marriage’ episode. Though melodramatic, these two episodes of Kkusum are, in my opinion, the best!!
Kkusum changes her husbands after every ten episodes!! HEEHEE!! Kkusum’s Aai has been limited to just ’crying’; her work is to get insulted by each and everyone, and then burst into tears...!
When Kkusum divorced Abhay, it seemed that it would be Aryaman’s turn ;) but poor chap has been limited to one or two scenes, these days.
Now, Abhay is played by Rohit Roy who is brillliiaannnt!!
The serial excels in performances, and looks but falls short of some good screenplay, the storyline seems to be stretched just like a chewing gum.
