This is a great player, with good functionality. I was very pleased to find it as an alternative to VLC Media player, as this player does what I need: Resume, upon open, and show playtime and percentage semi transparent in an overlay on the video.
But in a recent update, there is this stupid side bar covered in advertisements that slow things down badly.
It is clear to me, that when a developer needs to add a sidebar filled with advertisement, that it will only get worse from there. It screams: we rather show you advertisement than offer a good product.
To make things worse, these ads have audio that lags badly.
Avoid at all costs. VLC is better even if it can’t do everything.
