At times, I wonder about death. What it’s gona be it like? Is it the end of everything, or there is still hope for eternity?
Interestingly, there r endless philosophies related to it. In fact the very roots of religion r based on ‘fear factor’ and the fear, in its extreme, is nothing but ‘fear of death’.
There r some interesting facts about death which I would like to share with all f u:
- No One Dies Completely * - Research says that hairs n nails of a(‘so-called’) dead body continues to grow after ‘death’. Now what exactly r these nails n hairs? Well, they r the dead cells of the body . Metabolism is a continuous process. Body keeps on making new cells n the dead cells r constantly replaced by the new ones. So logically, if someone ‘dies’ then the metabolism should stop altogether. But its not the case. The fact that hairs n nails of a ‘dead body’ keeps on growing indicates that its not all over yet…. So the question is what exactly has happened?
Well, what we call a ‘dead body’ looks like a hopeless case of recovery. The life in the body has ceased to such n extent that the chances of recovery r almost nil. Most common features of a life-verification r pulse rate – of heath n breadth. These r measured through scientific medical instruments . So, when the machine indicates a ‘flat line’ without a slightest of deviation, it is deemed that the body has moved to a stage where chances of a comeback r almost impossible. Also, its interesting to note here that the body is not dead, or the heart beat or breath has not stooped COMPLETELY. It has just passed the limit of measurement of that particular instrument. If we can get a more sensitive instrument, that can(for ex) detect human impulse(say) 10, 000 times more than the present one, then it would be able to declare the same ‘dead body’ as still ‘ALIVE’!
So the question remains what exactly is death. Now the above were scientific facts. And what I m gona rite from here on is personal opinion derived from my own experience, some self experiments n observations. So, Its all personal n has NO Scientific Background ….
I have seen ppl dying around me. I have cn them dying natural death, I have cn them having a sudden death in accidents, n I have cn them committing suicide.
My grandfather died what u can call a natural death. He was ard 85; he gradually decreased his physical activity, comforted himself in bed n then slowly died in coming months. So it was a very slow n natural death for him. I was ard him all the time, n I can see there was no disease as such. It was sheer reluctance of that man n nothing else. He just wanted to die, because he was old, n probably he thought now there is no point in living. He started f with a poor family n now everything was settled; all one could ask for has been achieved - It looked like n absolute life of him. Interestingly, he refused to even have meals as there was some ‘dasha’ going on, (he was a pundit), n according to some astrological calculations, that was the best time to leave the body n attain ‘swarga’(!). So now that he had already had his life, he was reluctant to wait for another year to wait for death, he wanted to finish it up! So he even refused to eat n drink, made his body weak, n ultimately died.
Next death, I saw was of my grandma. Now she was very healthy woman(ard 75) n hardly had any health problem in her life. One day she was jus having a walk(I was there reading a book or something). Suddenly, she got n heart attack n within seconds she was gone.
Next was my friends Father, who looked like any other normal person. He went under some debt, n one day I came to hear that he has committed suicide.
Ok, its getting late now, actually its 4 @ morn already, so I got to take a lil nap at least, I will continue this revu, under some other health title. There r some more interesting observations which I would like to share with u, but may b tomorrow….
Peace all.
