Firstly , I am a native of Muvattupuzha town , 45kms north east from cochin.Kochi lacks hangout places.moral policing is also too much.then no discotheques , no pub nothing.
Regarding City - The city is limited to few kms , hence the sh1tty traffic congestion and vertically growing buildings.everything is high priced compared to cities like bombay etc. commuting on city bus needs courage.
On the positive side , people can cop up with English , although they cant reply properly in English.Hindi is not understood easily.while tamil is.those who want to live in kerala /kochi needs to tone down their ways to suit the city unlike cities like Bangalore which offers full freedom. But on the positive side , city got few shopping malls, multiplexes on the anvil.which hopefully with the coming of smart city(IT Park) will bring a positive change on the lifestyle of the people there.
City is a pain in the back to reach in peak hours.no infrastructure.still two overbridges on north and south makes traffic crawls.if some accident anything happens , the city will literally "hang".
