Yes, Hotel Kodai International, situated on a prime location in Kodaikanal is the place to be in, if one is looking for a lazy holiday lounging in the sun on the pine dotted slopes of the beautiful hill station of Kodaikanal. The hotel is located on a beautiful and well-maintained estate just on the main highway approaching Kodaikanal from Dindigul via Vethlagundu. The vast green lawns are well maintained with different types of exotic flowers blooming all around and a scenic waterfall in the background of the hotel estate. The hotel offers various packages for 2 nights and 3 nights under the brand name “Kurinji” to suit different pockets. Online booking facility is available on the hotel’s website for which Rs.2000/- have to be deposited in the Hotel’s bank account for getting confirmation of hotel booking. However, as our visit dates were not confirmed we did not opt for the online booking channel. Due to the off season we did not have any difficulty in getting a package of our choice, but prior booking is advised for those traveling in the prime season to avoid any disappointment.
The package cost is reasonably priced keeping in mind the quality of facilities offered and includes the cost of 2/3 breakfasts and 2/3 dinners for 2 people as per the package undertaken. The buffet breakfast comprises of 8-10 items of both North Indian and South Indian cuisines and is quite filling and nutritious. For dinner, the guests have the privilege of choosing their meals from a well assorted menu comprising Mughlai, Continental Chinese et all. The quality of food is just too good and the non-vegetarian delicacies are just cooked to perfection, the vegetarian items not being any less either. Even more important than that is the perfect quality of service that the hotel staff demonstrate, ready to lend a hand whenever required. The quality of the rooms is also quite good and clean with room service on your beck and call. Miscellaneous services like laundry etc. are available at reasonably priced rates.
For entertainment, the hotel provides a full day guided tour of Kodaikanal either by 18-seater bus or Car depending upon the package chosen and it has ample swings etc. for the children to play on. The hotel also offers various indoor games like carrom, table tennis, billiards, badminton etc. and has a health club and massage center for the health conscious. Overall, the hotel offers a value for money package deal, which is greatly entertaining from all angles whether one likes to be active on holidays, or just for relaxing on a quiet and calm estate.
