I stayed there after I had a worst experience with the hotel in the neighborhood and had to walk out before schedule. I am taking care not to compare this with that and to be fair in my views.
This is one of those decent things which we often pass on and never notice. It has much more to offer that what is presented. The individual rooms and cottages with a small private yards. Interiors are pretty pleasing and maintained pretty neat and clean. I had some problem with centralized hot water supply(only during a certain time - 5AM to 11AM, 5PM to 11PM) - the water gets cooled in the pipeline on the way, you have to wait for 15 minutes to get hot water flowing, but they really cared to solve it by providing alternatives.
Food IS expensive, compared to quality and verity. But I loved the coffee which is best in town. I would say everything was good.
The staff was much attentive, caring and friendly. I also liked the way they cooperated between each other. I could see the professionalism in everybody. Exception is in the early morning, when we had to say everything twice. Even they hate getting up so early in the mornings in such a chill weather, I guess.
This is how a small things adds up to the value - they provide hot water bags in the chilling nights when you cant even touch your blankets. Its peanuts, but works.
Nice place, next to everyones favorite Coakers Walk.
