I would suggest those who want to visit Kodaikanal, please make sure you are staying in a licensed hotel/lodge. Do not trust the guides who will mislead you and take you to the iilegal cottages wherein there are no safety for you and if anything happened like theft you can’t lodge a complain in the police station. It is safer for you to stay in the licensed hotels. At least you get proper service. Always avoid the guides at the road side.
Do not believe their sweet talk. Walk in straight to the hotels/lodges and make inquiry directly.
