Arranged amidst the folds of the Palani Hills, Kodaikanal is a champion amongst the most understood incline stations of Tamil Nadu. Settled between the Parappar and Gundar Valleys, the town is organized on a level over the southern edge of the upper Palani Hills. Perched at a stature of 2133 m above sea level, this slant town is under the administrative control of the Dindigul district of Tamil Nadu.
Around the north, Kodaikanal is ensured by high slants that grade down into the towns of Vilpatti and Pallangi, while toward the east, they plunge to the lower Palani inclines. Around the destination’s south, lies the Cumbum Valley; while toward the west lies a level which prompts the Manjampatti Valley and the Anamalai Hills.
Kodaikanal is a year round destination; regardless, the best time to visit is from April to June, which is moreover the peak voyager season and again from September to October. In summers the temperature ranges from 11° - 20° Celsius. In late February and early March, the temperatures are lower and the nighttimes can be nippy.
