I purchased a Kodak C763 digital camera in Bangalore in July07 because they were offering discount and 1GB memory card free. Also it was 7.1MP and having lot of features. The reviews I read mentioned that it was userfriendly. However right since purchase, this was overshadowed by the poor performance of the camera. The camera just cannot capture picture properly in low light conditions. The image goes out of focus.
Unless it is bright sunlight, no other picture captured is worth seeing on the PC. The image becomes hazy when you use the optical and more so the digital zoom. The 2.5inch display too is not of great quality compared to say a Cannon or Sony. the reason being the low Diplay pixel density. I have now given it to the authorised Kodak service centre-Rashi Peripherals bangalore for repairs. They too have confirmed this problem. It is 20 days and I have yet to get the camera back. Although Kodak might have some good cameras, I would recomend in general to avoid this brand. No wonder that this camera is sold with heavy discounts to clear the stock. That also confirms my suspicion that India is a dumping ground for failed products.
