About Kodak CX7300; it is good for the armatures. That means for most of us.
While buying the Digital camera I got confused with the number of brands and choices available. My first concern was Picture quality. Most of the Brands start with around 3 megapixles and around 6000 Rs. Kodak CX 7300 has having 3.2 megapixles. Initially I was thinking that 3.2 mp will be very less and I should go for at least 5 mp. That would have doubled the cost of camera. But, after consulting with a professional photographer, I came to know that 3.2 mp is enough to view the photographs on PC or to take printouts up to size 8 x 10”. Great!! That’s what I required.
The second criterion was internal memory. Kodak CX 7300 comes with 16 MB internal memory. With that you can capture 20 best quality photographs or 40 good quality photographs (“Best” and “Good” are two of the four picture quality options, available in the camera). If this is not enough then you have to add the external memory card.
The third criterion, which I found the most important after using the camera, is Zoom capability. This product has having Digital zoom capability of 4x. That means it will magnify the picture 4 times. Mind it; it is Digital zoom and not Optical zoom. Optical zoom means the camera lens will actually adjust to capture the photograph more closely. It will not deteriorate the picture quality as you go closer to the object. I can say Optical zoom is like looking through a Binocular and Digital zoom is like looking through a magnifying glass. Kodak CX 7300 does not have any Optical zoom feature. As far as Digital zoom concern, I found the 4x picture quality is satisfactorily clear; if it is taken as Best quality.
The only limitation I found, is its Video capturing feature. The video recording is without sound and zoom capability. I also recommend you to read Mouthshut articles on “How to select a digital camera?” They are really useful.
P.S: Please read comments on this review to know about flash feature.
