I am using this cam since 6 months. It is really a nice cam for the family use. Looking to the prise, they have given many features. It has optical as well as digital zoom.(It is very important to have optical zoom because then only you will be enlarge the picture clearly. Only digital zoom makes blurring of picture if magnified.) Flash is also adequate. Functioning of this cam is very easy. They provide good software with this cam. It has different modes to take the pic, like moving mode for taking pics when object is moving. It has night mode also. Regular & landscape modes are good. It takes up video shooting & that too with sound ....thats really amazing !
Depending on the quality of picture you can store a good number of pics in the cam internal memory.(If you select best quality, then hardly 15 - 18 shots can be stored in internal memory.) Slot has been provided for the memory card, where you can insert memory card.(you will have to purchase that. will cost you about 1500/- Rs.)
They provide PC cable with which you can send all pics to PC.
The only drawback is about power cells. Kodak do not provide batteries with that & if you use regular pencil cells & if you switch on the screen of cam, then pencil cells will last for only one hour..!! you must purchase the best quality high amp. rechargeable four cells so that if two gets off, next two will be ready to use.( Cam has space dor two cells). you also required to purchase a very good quality charger for those cells.( go for branded one). As it uses only two cells you are not suppose to use display screen for longer time as it will end up cells.( Thats why Olympus give 4 cells with good charger !).
You can magnify pic upto 6 inches without disturbing the quality of image if you take the pics with best quality adjustment.
If you purchase 256 MB memory card then you can store about 270 - 280 shots of the best quality.
You can take pics in Black & white, Eastman colour also.
Overall this is the best Digital Cam if you can manage the battery problem !
