Ive been using a V-603 from Kodak for the past 2 years, and its been just fine, matter of fact more than fine. This is the upper end version of the simple pocket point and shoot camera from Kodak, it does reasonably good video too, but it is outdoor photos where it comes into its own.
Over 2 years and 5000 photographs later, Ive lost a few of the small screws holding the case together (now held together with cello tape . . . ) and the zoom motor has become a bit gritty/noisy, but everything else is good for wear.
The flash is no good, but what do you expect, it is so tiny. If you do a lot of night shoots, then look for an external flash, I guess.
The best thing is the picture quality, the lens are some hot stuff brand I forget, but they are good enough for me to have had photos published in travel magazines. I would buy anohter V series from Kodak just for this. And yes, the internet uploads are very simple and efficient, too. After sales service - nobody has a clue. If you lose your charger or need some spares, then going to the grey market seems to be your only bet!!
