Why write about a show that has just ended?
Because I have been a fan of the show. Because their last episode was a disaster. Because they made such a big deal about the last episode. Because I had to. In fact this review is about the season finale which was hyped as much as you can hype a television show.
Sequence of events.
I had looked forward to the final show. I was upset because I missed it due to a power cut. I was happy because I caught the repeat telecast. I was bored during the show. I was utterly disappointed at the end of it.
The promos
Showed Sharukh and Amitab and whole lot of other stars so I thought it was going to be one big party. Boy was I wrong!
Heres why…
For those who have been watching the show, you will agree that it’s a fun show. Stars come, they talk, everybody is smiling and laughing and everybody has a good time including the viewers at home.
The ending was the exact opposite.
It was like any of Karan Johar’s movie LOUD, STAR STUDDED, SOPPY AND MELODRAMATIC. The only thing lacking was glycerin! (I was half expecting somebody or the other to break down!) It was almost like Simmi Garewal had possessed Karan Johar (To think now, he was wearing white! Scary!)
BLACK coffee
The whole worlds seen the movie Black by now and if they haven’t at least everyone knows that it’s a great movie and that Amitabs done a great job. And am pretty sure Amitab knows that himself by now. But in came people after people praising him and the movie and embarrassing him to no end.Phew!
The only saving grace was the rapid fire round. Thank God for Sharukh’s and Amitab’s sharp wit and good sense of humor, this section was the only time I didn’t want to change the channel or strangle someone. They got Farhan Akhtar (who just mumbled two words in the entire show), Farah Khan (who said two sentences both of which were funny) and Sanjay Leela Bhansali to judge the rapid fire only to declare it was a tie. They didn’t even have the usual coffee hamper instead some flowery basket thing.
For all Kajol fans, she looked good. Can’t remember what she said though. Jaya Bachchan made an appearance too. Cant remember what she said either.
I still recommend this show coz its over and you can’t see it and it doesn’t make any sense.
