I have already shared with you the checklist before finalizing Movers and Packers (M&P). You can check my review on Tirupati Balaji Movers and Packers wherein I have shared some important points based on my experience.
Here I will discuss my experience with Kohinoor M & P, Pune which I opted for shifting my household items from Pune to Bangalore.

I had filled an online form and the Marketing Manager Baldev Singh - 9372366577 had come to my house for quotation. Unfortunately I was not at home to clarify all my doubts. My mom took the quotation. The person was a bit strict (not ready to negotiate on quotation) and gave us a quotation of 20, 400 for part load.
I and my father went to their head office just a day before shifting. I cleared all my doubts with him. The person seemed to be very straight forward and below are some points he clarified.
For part load there will be loading and unloading of my goods 2-3 times.
A small damage to goods may happen.
The truck used will not be the one with door lock.
Octroi charges may or may not be charged. Usually 1 out of 10 trucks are charged.
Packing materials used are of good quality and no need to worry.
No hidden charges, only the ones mentioned in quotation.
Labors may ask for tip.
We can pay some amount in cheque.
Most importantly Baldev stressed on Customer service. No need to worry about it. (Though the quotation was bit more than others I choose Kohinoor because I was satisfied with the points clarified to me by Baldev)
Baldev promised to send 3-4 people the next day for packing. Time was 10.00 AM.
Next day, I was waiting for the truck to come. Truck came at 10.30 AM (ok, no issues), 3 people had turned up for packing, among them 2 were below age 20 and one was driver aged around 30+.
Packing was not at all satisfactory. I and mom had to argue each time. The driver was a very nice person. He listened patiently and did as we said. Sofa set, cupboard, and my bike were packed nicely. We were pretty sure that it wont be damaged. Cot, table was not packed at all. It was carried directly. Once all packing was done, now comes payment time. For my utter surprise Baldev asked me to pay Octroi charges of Rs. 3000, for which I argued to pay after I get the receipt but he didnt listen. Next comes Invoice charge of Re 350 which I was not informed. Also, I was said that I will get insurance document in Bangalore. So after adding everything the final price was 30, 500 for which I paid 10, 000 in cheque and remaining in cash.
Packing was done on 26th and I was promised that goods will reach before 30th.
I was very happy to know that goods arrived on 28th to Bangalore. All my goods were unloaded and there was no extra charges on delivery as promised. But I didnt get insurance document. As per Baldev, their company claims for the damage to our goods. **So I feel 3k of insurance + 3k Octroi goes to Baldev’s pocket. Also the person was bit arrogant while talking on phone about these charges. Where is the customer service now ?
This is the reason I am giving a low rating and a “No” recommendation.*
And yes, goods damaged include:
Fridge- a big dent on the left side.
My bike- a small bump on petrol tank.
One broken glass bottle.
Scratches on the cot.
