Ffort - Raichak, A lovely weekend destination!

The Ffort is located at Raichak, Kolkata, West Bengal. 50 kms to the South and just a 90 minutes drive through undulated greens, 70 kms from the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport.

This luxury resort is located amidst 60 acres of landscaped greenery including artificial water bodies and a moat running around the property to compliment its fort theme and overlooks a dramatic bend of the river Hooghly.

Architected beautifully, one actually gets the feeling of a Fort here. Here one gets a decent range of rooms to suit one’s budget. For adults there is a Gym, Spa, Swimming Pool, Disc and lot of other activities like Table Tennis, Carom etc. Kids can enjoy the lovely and unique play area, the horse ride and also there is a small pool for the kids. A paddle boat ride for Rs. 100 per head is also refreshing in the evening. The lush greenery surrounding the Fort is simply admiring. All the rooms are river facing. which again gives a soothing feeling.

I personally prefer the Superior Rooms which are located across 5 floors, the rooms are exclusively furnished with breathtaking view of the River Hoogly and Landscaped Gardens. The Ground floor rooms have marble flooring and are created for those who wish to breathe the moist and fragrant incoming river breeze through the landscaped garden and water bodies while the Upper floor rooms have wooden flooring and are created to give the feel of command over nature while on land.

One can also enjoy the early morning “river side walk”, with the Ducks quacking along in the pond is simply awesome!

Other facilities are Electronic Lock, In room electronic Safe, Fridge, Cable TV, Direct Dial telephone, Reading Lamps, Work table, Running Hot & Cold Water, Twin or King Size Beds, Luggage Rack, Cupboards, Toiletries, Room Amenities, Tea / Coffee maker in suites.

The icing on the cake is the Ganga Kutir, recommended for couples, who want to laze off at the weekend. That would be slightly high on price ranging from 11k-17k per night. But mark my words that’s worth it!
