Konark Beach:-A Beach of Serenity.

In October, 2013 I visited Bhubaneshwar, Puri and Konark Beach, (the triangular tourist circuit) in Odisha, with my family members. From Puri we headed towards Konark beach on taxi through a road just on the bank of the sea, called marine drive passing through green reserved forest area. Board on the roadside shows that this is ecologically reserved zone. Local people known it as Chandrabhaga Beach as the the river Chandrabha merges here in sea. There is small temple called Maa Chandrabhaga Temple.

I first time experienced the expansion of endless sea. Fishing ships were sometimes visible and sometimes invisible in the high waves of the sea. Sea was appears to roaring in fast blowing winds with sand particles. It was very exciting for me. The surrounding of the beach was neat. Everything was calm and serene here except roaring sea. This beach is famous for its sunrise and sunset scenes also. This beach is less crowded.  People were picnicking in different groups.

Plunging in the sea at this beach is dangerous because the water is very turbulent here. We enjoyed bath just sitting on the shore and water waves wetted us. You can visit this beach in any season. Monsoon is little unstable. It is easily approachable from Bhubaneshwar or Puri by bus, taxi or train. We enjoyed very much in the serenity of the beach. At evening, we returned to Bhubaneshwar taking a glimpse of Konark Temple on the way. This is my very memorable journey to visit Konark Beach.
