I flew business class on KE from LAX to ICN. I was lucky enough to have a seat upstairs. It was very quiet up there, and you feel like its your plane. The seats were a nice size and I loved the personal entertainment screens at our seat.
A nice little suprise was the window seats have thier own little compartment to stow your stuff, so you dont have to shove it under the seat in front of you, or climb over the person next to you, to get into the overhead. The lower level does not offer the compartments. We were offered the usual pre-flight beverage of mango juice or soda, and as soon as we got up in the air, we were given dinner menus.
There were 2 choices. A Korean meal and a western meal. I opted for the western entree of Sea Bass. It was presented with a small but tasty salad, and shrimp cocktail appetizer. The entree was actually pretty good for airplane food.
Throughout the meal, the staff kept offering an array of hot rolls and breads. After dinner, it was time for the inflight movie. There were 7 movies to chose from in both english and Korean. There were also several music channels to chose from. I watched part of a Harry Potter movie, and fell asleep.
I awoke to the smell of breakfast...about 6 hours later. The menu choices were again a Korean and a western entree. I was sitting next to a Korean woman who chose both the Korean entrees, so I got to see what that consisted of. The breakfast I chose was a small omlette with mushrooms and cheese. Again, hot breads and pastries were being offered as well as mango and orange juice.
When we arrived at Inchon airport, we were first off the aircraft and our luggage arrived very efficiently. I was pleased with Korean Air and would recommend it to anyone flying to Seoul.
