ANYONE CAN VISIT IT AT ANYTIME

KORIGAD, a nice little trek which anyone can n’joy at anytime. Very easy to access, only 1.5 hrs. of easy trek and u get into heaven.

Journey : Get down at Lovanala stn. which is almost 60KM. from Pune and 100 KM. from mumbai if u r coming by train or public transport. From lonavala stn., get S.T ( State Transport ) bus for Peth-Shivapur. And get down at Shivapur village. It’s almost 16KM. from lonalava near INS Shivaji and beautiful AMBY VALLEY area.

If ur coming by private village directly get down at Shivapur village by taking right from KUMAR RESORT coming from Mumbai.

From Shivapur village ur journey gets start. It’s a almost 45 Min. walk through so called jungle but believe me it’s very much easy. Any local villager will show u the way to fort. At this time only you have to fill urs bottles with water because u will get one borewell in between. After 45 min. walk u will reach to the steps of the fort. And these steps will take u to the top of the fort within next 45 min. and this little journey of 45 mins. is Awesome. U will get caves, Ganeshji Temple and Tak ( Natural tank of water ) in between the way. And once u reach at the top of the fort, U will find 3 temples, 2 nice lakes and very good view of Amby Valley. Full Amby valley view is the main attraction of this fort.

Things to keep in mind

  1. Carry enough water with u, specially in summer time. ( Lake water is not drinkable )

  2. U have to carry food with u as there are no Hotels and any help available nearby.

  3. No night stay possible for the larger group. (5-8 members can stay in one of the temple )

  4. Carry some first aid with u. May be required.
