I bought the Koryo rice cooker https://koryoworld.com/ec.asp?pid=3 - KEC 1822 from Big Bazaar, Old Madras Road in June 2009. Before buying, I was really skeptical about this. I thought " This rice cooker going bust is inevitable in the near future.
Still, since the price was only Rs. 650 or so, I bought this. My moms been using it almost everyday for steaming rice, idlis and even subjis/ curries or hot water. Ive got to say, this cooker does boil the rice exactly how we like. Well cooked, separate grains of rice that is an absolute heaven to us South Indians.
Ive been using it for more than 3 years now and Ive not had a single cause for concern with this. Not all that are cheap are bad. And, not all that are expensive are good.
